1.   How does WCFCK distribute coats to children?

Coats are distributed through events conducted in association with schools, churches, and other community organizations.

 Individuals can submit a request for a coat by contacting a community organization with whom we work, or by contacting us directly.

2.   How does WCFCK obtain the coats that are distributed to children?

WCFCK purchases all new coats from local retailers and from Operation Warm.

3.   What are the sizes of coats offered by WCFCK?

WCFCK offers coats in many sizes and styles.  Coat sizes offered range from 3T to adult 3XL.

4. Does WCFCK maintain an on-hand inventory of coats?

Yes, WCFCK does maintain an inventory of coats in many sizes and styles.  As coats are needed, they are purchased from local retailers and Operation Warm.

5. Is WCFCK a charitable organization?

Yes, WCFCK is a charitable, nonprofit corporation (EIN 86-3488467).  We recently received 501(c)(3) tax exempt classification from the IRS.

6. How much of my donation will be used to purchase coats for children?

100% of your donation will be used to purchase coats for children.  A $25 donation is enough to purchase a high quality, warm, and stylish coat for a child.

7. Does WCFCK have any paid employees?

No, WCFCK has no employees that receive monetary compensation. All individuals who assist Warm Coats are volunteers.

8. Are WCFCK board members paid for their service?

No, all board members serve on a voluntary basis.
